Grace fell in love with a Santander man in Sydney — and 12 years later, they decided to make Cantabria home.
Originally from Ireland, she instantly connected with the Celtic green landscapes of Northern Spain. But the transition from life in Ireland and Australia to Cantabria was far from easy. Moving in 2020, with two young children and a lifetime of habits shaped by Anglo culture, she faced one of the toughest yet most transformative experiences of her life.
A Law graduate and property marketing professional with over 20 years of experience, Grace brings a wealth of knowledge in real estate, investment, and home renovation. She understands both the emotional and practical sides of relocation — from finding a home to building a life.
Driven by her own challenges, she founded a supportive community of English-speaking mothers in Cantabria in 2023 to help newcomers feel less alone in their journey.
Today, Grace speaks Spanish and understands the nuances of life here — the challenges, the quirks, and the beauty. Her mission is to help others settle in with greater ease and confidence, turning what can be an overwhelming move into a deeply rewarding experience.
